Holiday and festival calendar — public holidays and cultural festivals for 200+ countries

The dates other calendars forget.

What this calendar covers

Public holidays for more than 200 countries and territories, plus the cultural festivals that most holiday lists leave out. Statutory days off are the easy part — the harder part is the observances that move with lunisolar calendars, like Raksha Bandhan, Onam, Diwali, Bihu and Eid, which land on a different Gregorian date every year. Those are the dates people actually need to look up, and they are missing from most public holiday APIs entirely.

Where the dates come from

Public holidays are read live from open holiday APIs, with a documented fallback chain when a country is not covered. Cultural festivals come from published calendar feeds spanning 2021–2031. Regional tagging — which festivals belong to which part of a country — is editorial rather than provider data, so anything untagged is shown everywhere rather than wrongly hidden. Dates are shown for reference; confirm against an official source before making plans that depend on them.
